Mettle is a social fitness game developed by Daniel Chung. You can delete your account and its data at any time, by either route below. You do not need to have the app installed to make the request.
Open Mettle and go to Settings, then the Account page, and tap Delete account. Deletion happens immediately; there is no waiting period and no confirmation email.
If you no longer have the app installed, email danielchungfung@gmail.com from the address associated with your account, asking to delete your Mettle account. Requests are handled manually, normally within a few days.
Deleting your account immediately removes:
Once deleted, this data cannot be recovered, and signing in again creates a new, empty account.
Shared party records — the parties themselves, their battles, and the monsters a party defeated together — are not deleted, because they belong to the whole party rather than to one member. These records do not identify you once your membership and player records are gone: to everyone else you simply read as having left. If you created a party, it stays with the remaining members and is no longer linked to you.
Duels you have already fought stay as well. A duel is a two-sided record with hearts and coins settled off it, so it keeps both players' names, the heroes they sent, and each side's step total for the days it ran. Ask by email if you want a duel record removed and we will delete it by hand.
A short technical log of the times a device's push token came to belong to a different account is kept as a record — it holds the token, the platform and the account and nothing else. It exists so that sign-ins which split one player into two can be found afterwards.
If you played Mettle before accounts were introduced (version 1.4.3), a copy of your earlier progress may remain in your own Apple iCloud account. That copy is held under your Apple ID rather than by us, we cannot delete it, and it is subject to Apple's privacy policy.
Mettle reads step and distance totals from Apple Health or Health Connect on your device. The underlying health records never leave your phone — only the daily totals do, and deleting your account deletes those. Removing Mettle's permission in Apple Health or Health Connect stops any further reading.
